Whether you’re walking across a room or standing in line at the grocery store, dancing, hiking or running, your feet and ankles are carrying the weight of your entire body. When something isn’t right, it can feel like your whole body hurts.

Foot or ankle pain may be the result of improper footwear, a sports injury, trauma, a degenerative disease like osteoarthritis, or a deformity such as a bunion. If your foot or ankle is hurting or you are experiencing numbness or prolonged swelling, the specialists at the Institute of Clinical Orthopedics and Neurosciences provide expert diagnosis and treatment to help you reduce pain and regain mobility.

The foot and ankle program at ICON is directed by Ryan Wood, DPM, a podiatrist who has fellowship training in foot and ankle reconstruction, including ankle replacement and fracture management. Dr. Wood is supported by a team of highly skilled medical personnel that includes physical therapists.
